What is Music Therapy?

Music therapy is a research-based, clinical practice where a trained music therapist uses music to support a person’s emotional, physical, cognitive, and social well-being. It involves activities like playing instruments, singing, movement, or listening to music, all tailored to individual goals. For children, especially those with additional needs or on the NDIS, music therapy can help improve communication, build confidence, reduce anxiety, and support developmental progress in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.
